Dear Black Men,
You are not defined by what is between your legs. You are not defined by the amount of money in your bank account. You have a purpose beyond performing sex and producing for others. You are cherished for your presence, and we are grateful you are here.
Dear Black Gay Men,
Being fierce will not save you, if it means ignoring your feelings and burying yourself into bitterness. Being fabulous will not free you, if it is tethered to bringing others down to make you feel tall. Learn to love with tender boundaries and thoughtful care. Nurture the love in your life and turn away from narratives that tell you love is scarce. You are the love you have been waiting for.
Dear Black Non-Binary & Gender Fluid Folks,
Your embodiment and belief in a world free of gender oppression is beautiful, even when other Black folks won’t validate you. Even when folks try to erase you, you shine. Even when folks don’t understand, you are luminous. Keep shining for yourself, and for a future full of love and freedom.
